Account Executive

Job Responsibilities

All A/Es are responsible for increasing the company's gross revenue by developing new business and growing existing business accounts with local and regional clientele by selling advertising and promotional opportunities through spot-radio campaigns, on-site promotions, and new media. A/Es with 2 or more years experience are also required to participate in mentoring new A/Es by accompanying them in the field and assisting in the office with their daily development.

The A/E is expected to represent the radio station in the local and regional buying community and to conduct good business practices that benefit the client while adhering to the company's needs and standards.

The A/E's role in strategy formulation is confined to, but essential within the Sales Department. Their input as a result of experience with the direct advertisers and listeners of the station are vital to the Sales Manager's ability to react to and form strategies around the particular needs and developments in the marketplace.

The A/E's leadership responsibilities pertain mostly to the mentoring of young/newer A/Es. They are expected to participate in hands-on involvement with the training of new hires and to set an example of what new hires are to aspire to become and how business should be transacted.

Required Qualifications

2 + yrs media sales exp.

A H.S. diploma is required and college degree preferred for all A/Es

An A/E will need to be computer literate and proficient at basic functions of word processing, Microsoft Excel & Power Point, and to be able to learn the company's sales order and traffic systems.
