Each week four local high school athletes will be nominated for this award. Voting will begin each Monday around noon and end the following Monday at 10AM. The athlete who has the most votes after voting closes will be named the 1250 ESPN Scholastic Athlete of the Week! The winner will be announced online and at 2:50 PM on 1250 ESPN. 1250 ESPN will present a plaque to the winning school at a time to be determined.

Norwin's Andy Carter scored 18 points in a 74-56 win over Connelsville in WPIAL Class AAAA action.
Blackhawk's Tim Denman scored 18 points in a 52-39 win over Elwood City in WPIAL Class AAA.
New Brighton's Chris Weathers scored 21 points in 64-52 win over Shenango in WPIAL Class AA.
Union's Anthony Thomas scored 20 points in a 58-30 win over Monaca in WPIAL Class A.
