Mike Dudurich has never won a green, red, gold or plaid jacket for his abilities on the PGA Tour.

But he's been at golf courses and clubs around the country to watch as the best players in the world get their jackets, crystal and hardware.

Mike's an average golfer, who keeps waiting for the skills and talents of those he writes about as golf writer at the Tribune-Review to somehow find their way into his game. His game? Well, he was once described by a friend on the PGA Tour as "an average golfer but a scratch writer."

Mike grew up in a small town in central Pennsylvania, graduated from Glendale High School and Lock Haven State College.

His newspaper career has included stints at the Lock Haven Express, Washington Observer-reporter, McKeesport Daily News before coming to the Tribune-Review in 1981.

Mike has covered a wide variety of sports in his nearly 28 years at the T-R, but golf is his passion.

He was the sports editor at the T-R in Greensburg for 9 years before becoming the golf writer for the T-R family of newspapers in western Pennsylvania.

Mike, his wife and daughter live in Unity Twp. in Westmoreland County, about 10 minutes from the home of his golfing hero, Arnold Palmer.
