"1050's Market Score Board Report with Ron Insana," will be heard twice each weekday: at 10:30 after the morning bell during the Brandon Tierney Show, and again at 4:30 after the market close, with a live discussion with 1050's afternoon drive The Michael Kay Show.

Insana's current role with CNBC is as a senior contributor. During his earlier tenure with CNBC, Insana was the highly visible anchor of the network's afternoon hour, "Street Signs." Insana joined CNBC in the 1991 merger with the Financial News Network. He has also been a regular contributor to NBC's "Today" and "NBC Nightly News with Brian Williams."
Insana began his career in 1984 as an FNN production assistant, rising to managing editor and chief of FNN's Los Angeles bureau at the time the two networks combined. While at FNN, he was nominated for a Cable ACE Award for his role in covering the 1987 stock market crash.
He is the author of three financial books: "Trendwatching: Don't be Fooled by the Next Investment Fad, Mania, or Bubble," "Traders' Tales," a compendium of anecdotes about Wall Street life, and "The Message of the Markets."
Insana was nominated for a News and Documentary Emmy Award as part of NBC's coverage of 9/11, and in 1999, Insana was named one of the top 100 business news journalists of the century by TJFR Group.
He is also actively involved in Junior Achievement of New York, The Michael J. Fox Foundation, The Robin Hood Foundation and Autism Speaks.
Insana graduated with honors from California State University at Northridge.
