Francisco Rodriguez' agent thinks that the Mets will be one of five serious pursuers of K-Rod this offseason.
The agent, Paul Kinzer, says that the 26-year-old K-Rod will seek a five-year deal in the neighborhood of Mariano Rivera's $15 million per season. Kinzer thinks there will be five serious suitors for K-Rod.
Besides the Mets, Kinzer named the Cardinals, the Tigers, the Dodgers and a return to the Angels. Rodriguz has 55 saves, which is two shy of Bobby Thigpen's record of 57.
